Born and raised in Vernon, BC I moved to Kamloops after University and spent the next 35 years fully immersed in my career as a Physiotherapist, working with children and families. I had always had an interest in Photography and dabbled a bit. Then in 2014 I decided to jump in with both feet, buying my first digital SLR and taking a workshop. Since then I haven’t looked back. It has become my passion.
I began as a landscape/nature photography which will always be my first love but more recently have begun to branch out into portrait, sport, still life and abstract photography. I think I can say I am a multi-genre photographer and feel not only confident but excited in shooting a wide range of subjects.
My training
It all began with picking up the camera and pointing it at things that I thought were interesting. Then one day I decided I should take a workshop to improve my skills. Fatefully, the instructor of the workshop was a Canadian Photographer Dave Brosha who made learning pretty fun and inspired me to keep going. Shortly after he joined with another Canadian Photographer Paul Zizka and started an online community of like minded photography fanatics called Offbeat. Becoming a member of this group literally changed my life and my passion just grew. Dave and Paul began to offer workshops and the rest is history.

Embracing learning and being open to new ideas and techniques has opened doors and led me down paths that I couldn’t have imagined.
